Purpose – The growing digital transformation of the financial services sector has made the differentiation between Fintech and traditional Bank more important. Fintech businesses, renowned for their creative application of technology, work in a digitally first environment, shunning paper records in favor of sophisticated digital workflows. This creates a contradiction in document management procedures since conventional banks have traditionally relied on physical documents for their financing operations. The purpose of this study is to investigate the benefits and drawbacks of switching from physical to digital document management in traditional banks. Design/methodology/approach – The study aims to comprehend the rationale behind the integration of digital technologies for document management in conventional banks (ultra-micro financing banks), while also scrutinizing the advantages and obstacles that arise from this practice. Using a qualitative research methodology, the study will analyze data using the SWOT analysis and TOWS Matrix method and rely on interviews with heads, leads, and senior experts. Findings – By assisting traditional banks in navigating the obstacles of digital transformation and maintaining their competitiveness in the quickly changing financial services sector, the study's conclusions will help shape recommendations and best practices for effective document management. Banks can optimize their document management practices and enhance their overall operational efficiency by informed decision-making based on their understanding of the benefits and drawbacks of using physical documents versus digital document management. The study's findings indicate that PT Bank Arisan Sharia's document management system still requires enhancement. This associated bank will work on projects including digitizing paper documents into digital ones, lowering the amount of physical documents, and implementing biometrics. Practical implications – Financial institutions that operate in micro-enterprise financing with a similar target segment can easily use this analysis to determine a more appropriate strategy regarding document management. Originality/value – With the results of an analysis of the use of document management systems in traditional banks, like Bank Arisan Sharia, which serves underprivileged customers, this paper makes a unique contribution to the field. This type of customer has its own uniqueness, is may not be technologically literate, and still prefers physical paper records because they provide concrete evidence of their transactions. Therefore, this paper will provide a different view of the financial business that exists today, especially fintech with its technological advances.

Data is stored in the cloud instead of on physical devices. This enables organizations to better manage administration, streamline processes, improve productivity, optimize costs, and improve the digital customer experience. As a country that is experiencing exponential growth in data volume, Indonesia and its banking system have yet to fully implement cloud computing technologies due to regulation barriers and a lack of decent infrastructure. Major banks in Indonesia, have 10 to 40 million customers with hundreds of millions of transactions every day. Banking services are among the data giants that generate terabytes of data every day and have yet to move to cloud computing technology.
The main reason that banks are not using innovative technologies is the hurdle of cost for developing customized banking solutions, investment of time, and high-quality resources. Cloud computing, as the latest technology that banks are adopting, comes with its own advantages and challenges. Therefore, to avoid the confusion and fear of decision-makers to adopt this technology, a study of the factors that influence the adoption of cloud computing must be undertaken before implementing it. This study focuses on exploring factors (technological, organizational, environmental) that affect the decision to adopt cloud computing in Bank Tepat Syariah to improve the understanding of decision-makers on these solutions so that their decision can be an informed one. Furthermore, this study aims to contribute to scientific knowledge since empirical research on the adoption of cloud computing is limited.

Financial Feasibility Study of Raised Floor Manufacturing Steel Panels in Indonesia
This study analyzes the financial viability of establishing a domestic steel panel raised floor production facility in Indonesia. With booming commercial real estate development and data center investments, raised flooring demand is surging at over 12,25 % annually that will reach $36 million by 2026. Moreover, government prioritizes domestic manufacturing by restricting steel import quotas and mandating sourced components for public projects. Despite these tailwinds, existing reliance on Chinese imports leads to over 3-month long lead times, lack of quality control and 90 days inventory holding for local players. Unlike prevalent dependence on secondary economic data, this study collects fine-grained qualitative insights directly through raw material supplier and equipment vendor interviews. The primary assumptions enhance credibility of financial projections instead of theoretical forecast trends. The study adopts a mixed method approach by integrating both primary and secondary data sources financial statement projections and synthesizing the qualitative and quantitative inputs through discounted cash flow modeling. The financial analysis projects robust returns for the raised floor factory investment, with positive NPV of Rp 41.45 billion and high IRR of 30,81%, confirming adequate profitability and feasibility. Establishing domestic raised floor manufacturing is financially attractive for construction sector investors given favorable demand drivers; however optimal sequencing surrounding technical competencies, policy response plans and pricing models remains important.

Social Impact Measurement Tool for Ultra-Micro Financing Products Targeting Productive Underprivileged Women: A Case Study at Bank Nusa Syariah
Current existing social impact measurement tools only covers poverty measurement, while women’s empowerment has also become critical for measuring company’s financing impact to the society, in this case Bank Nusa Syariah (BNS), in order to support the realization of SDGs and to align with BNS’s business philosophy of “Do Good Do Well”, a business approach that integrates financial performance with a commitment to social responsibility. This paper aims to develop a simple, up-to-date, and scalable social impact measurement tool for ultra-micro financing products that target the women productive underprivileged segment that could measure for both household welfare and women’s empowerment. Design/methodology/approach The research primarily focuses on identifying indicators that accurately reflect household welfare levels and women’s empowerment level within households. A key aspect of this investigation involves the development of a predictive model, serving as a user-friendly tool for Bank Nusa Syariah. Leveraging public data from Indonesia’s Statistical Bureau (Biro Pusat Statistik or BPS), specifically the Survei Sosial Ekonomi Nasional (SUSENAS) 2020, and employing methodologies like Principal Component Analysis (PCA), Weight of Evidence (WoE), Information Value (IV), and Logistic Regression, this predictive model aims to measure both household welfare and the level of women’s empowerment based on selected indicators. Findings The predictive model plays a crucial role in the development of the Household Welfare (HW) Score, enabling the simultaneous measurement of both household welfare and women’s empowerment levels. By incorporating various socio-economic and ownership indicators, the HW Score offers a comprehensive understanding of the economic status and living conditions of the targeted segment. The analysis not only provides insights into the distribution of wealth, access to essential amenities, digital and technology savviness, and women’s empowerment but also reveals a positive correlation between higher Household Welfare Scores and enhanced Women’s Empowerment Index. A higher score on the Household Welfare Score signifies improved economic status and better living conditions, indicating enhanced women’s empowerment within households. This insight underlines the interconnectedness of economic prosperity and women’s empowerment, emphasizing the dual impact of financial well-being on the overall welfare of the household. Practical implications Financial institutions that operate in micro-enterprise financing with a similar target segment can easily use this measurement tool to measure and monitor the improvement of customers’ household welfare level and women’s empowerment level. Originality/value The limitations of existing poverty measurement tools in the market, such as the absence of indicators and measurements related to women’s empowerment and an outdated baseline that does not consider the post-pandemic context, underscore the need for an innovative approach. This paper brings forth a distinctive contribution to the field in two key aspects. Firstly, it addresses the contextual uniqueness by incorporating both household welfare and women’s empowerment indicators into the measurement tools. This novel approach aligns with the specific needs of Bank Nusa Syariah (BNS), offering a more comprehensive evaluation of the impact of ultra-micro financing products on the productive underprivileged women segment. Secondly, the paper utilizes the latest post-COVID-19 dataset as a baseline for the analysis, providing an updated perspective that reflects the current socio-economic landscape. Beyond resolving the current challenges faced by BNS, this Household Welfare (HW) Score presents a valuable and scalable solution for broader implementation, offering similar financial institutions operating in comparable segments an effective tool to measure both household welfare and women’s empowerment.
