Proposed Strategy to Increase Food-Purchase Willingness at SixAsix Coffee
Khusnul Fauzia Azrina,
Raden Aswin Rahadi
SixAsix Coffee, a global coffee chain company, has expanded its business to include food and merchandise in addition to its core offering of high-quality coffee and beverage products. These new additions complement the company's existing offerings. Despite the fact that it is considered a complementary product, the food category has become the second largest contributor to the company's revenue in Indonesia. Nevertheless, maximizing the performance of the food category presents a challenge for the company because of the higher cost of food in comparison to the cost of beverages and the primary focus of customers on the purchase of coffee. This study intends to find the right strategy to increase the food purchase willingness by investigating the influential factors that drive customers to purchase food as well as the customers' preferences and expectations regarding the food that is offered at SixAsix Coffee Indonesia. The qualitative data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews with a total of 16 respondents for this study, which included customers, store managers, and subject matter experts. The audio recordings of the interviews have been summarized and analyzed, and the findings are organized into categories according to the research questions and the respondent groups. The findings of the study are given greater validity as a result of the application of the triangulation methodology. Five influential factors that motivate customers to buy food at SixAsix Coffee have been identified as a result of an analysis of the responses customers gave to an interview. SixAsix Coffee is in a position to enhance its food performance, attract a greater number of customers, and ultimately increase its profitability if it first gains an understanding of the significance of the factors mentioned above and then adjusts its internal management strategies accordingly. The findings of this research provide valuable insights that can serve as a guide for the development of effective strategies to improve the contribution that the food category makes to the overall success of the company.

Optimal Sales Composition and Profit for Pt Kaseindo in the Liquid Caustic Soda Market: A Monte Carlo Simulation Approach
Kevin Budiman,
Santi Novani
This research investigates the optimal sales composition and profit for PT Kaseindo (KI), an Indonesian manufacturer of Liquid Caustic Soda (LCS), amidst increasing competition and constant production capacity. Factors like customer demand, selling price, logistic costs, and competition shape sales allocation decisions, affecting overall profitability. The study employs a modified Monte Carlo simulation approach in Excel to predict sales allocation to eleven customer segments from four industrial categories of LCS users (Rayon, Alumina, Nickel, and General Market/GM) across two scenarios (optimistic and pessimistic) for the period 2023-2027. These scenarios consider market dynamics like economic crises and growing LCS demand, with sensitivity factors derived from past customer operation rates.Simulations reveal differing allocation priorities between scenarios. GM as the most profitable sector receives the most allocation in optimistic conditions, but the least in pessimistic ones due to high sensitivity and competition factor with domestic competitors. However, in the other sector like Alumina, the allocation increases in the pessimistic scenario as the customers have low sensitivity factors and are not affected by competition with domestic competitors. In Rayon and Nickel sectors which have similar sensitivity factors, the allocation difference between two scenarios found to be more significant in the Nickel sector, as Nickel customers are not intervened by domestic competitors. Overall, more allocation implies more profit except for the Rayon sector. Profit resulted from the simulation shows increasing trends over the years in line with the demand growth, except in some years due to intensifying competition as domestic competitors expand their capacity.

Novilia Aisah,
Hari Sukarno,
Handriyono
This study aims to investigate the effect of capital structure decisions on the financial sustainability of Islamic rural banks (BPRS) in Indonesia through the contribution of non-profit sharing financing (murabahah). Researchers exposed secondary data from Islamic Banking Statistics, the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and analyzed using a two-stage regression technique during 2014–2022. The findings show that murabaha contributes 77.9% of total BPRS financing and is proven to influence capital structure and financial sustainability positively and significantly. Meanwhile, from a sustainability perspective, BPRS Indonesia has proven to be operationally sustainable, but not financially sustainable. This study supports the trade-off theory and encourages BPRS to carry out alternative strategies other than debt, for example, BPRS can optimize production sharing financing through mudharabah and musyarakah contracts and still accommodate profits through other instruments. This study contributes to the literature especially on financing structures in Islamic microfinance institutions and highlights the issue of financial sustainability, as well as practical implications for managers, micro-entrepreneurs, and regulators. Managers are expected to have the best capital structure design so that they can increase the profitability and sustainability of the institution, while entrepreneurs are expected to use BPRS as a means of investment and to fund their business. Regulators, especially the Sharia Supervisory Board (DPS) are encouraged to carry out sharia compliance assessments and be open to innovation and engineering of financial products to suit the needs of society.

Hafidz Alhadi Luqmana,
Achmad Fajar Hendarman
The rapid changes in work environments caused by the trend of remote and hybrid work arrangements and the increasing prevalence of burnout have raised concerns about their relationship and impact on employees. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between different working arrangements (fully onsite, hybrid, and fully remote) and the level of burnout among employees in Indonesia. A cross-sectional survey design was employed using the BAT-12 assessment for burnout. Data were obtained through an online survey with a total sample size of 1,355 employees. According to the study, remote employees have the lowest mean burnout score, 2.8387, while onsite employees have the highest mean burnout score, 3.1087. A one-way ANOVA reveals a statistically significant difference between the burnout scores of employees with different working arrangements. The Games-Howell test showed a significant difference (lower level) in burnout scores between fully remote and fully onsite workers (mean difference = 0.269999, p = 0.01). The regression coefficient of a working arrangement is -0.126, indicating a negative relationship. Gender and age were found to be significant predictors of burnout levels. Female workers were more susceptible to burnout than male employees. In conclusion, it was discovered that remote and hybrid working arrangements were associated with lower burnout levels than onsite work, indicating that flexible work options may be advantageous for reducing employee burnout risks. The analysis also revealed that demographic factors such as gender and age influenced burnout levels, highlighting the need for targeted interventions and support for specific employee groups.

Askia Samuel OGIEH,
Edirin JEROH
This study investigates corporate governance effects on the relevance of earnings using empirical data from listed Nigerian firms outside the financial service sector. We identified pertinent models that aided the analytical processes and test of hypotheses and were anchored by the conceptual framework and major goal of the study. Ownership structure, board shareholding, independence, size, and diligence were used as measures of corporate governance. Also included as control variable was market capitalization, a proxy for corporate size. The secondary data that were compiled from the financial statements of 73 sampled companies and retrieved after collation were correctly analyzed. The information used spanned a decade (2011 to 2020). The results of pertinent diagnostic tests (unit root, multi-collinearity, heteroscedasticity, etc.) supported using robust regression to test our hypothesis. Results indicate that corporate governance significantly impacts on the earnings of firms. Accordingly, regulatory bodies should continue to stress the importance of companies adhering to the minimum standards for board independence, size, and diligence. This is because, observably, some companies' corporate boards continue to meet irregularly, which undermines their ability to perform the expected oversight function.
