This research aimed to observe how the psychanalytical mechanism of transference happens in the relationship between a child with cerebral palsy and his mediator. The mediator supported a five-year-old boy, diagnosed with cerebral palsy, during every day of school term, helping on his mobility, feeding, playing and academic activities. In the beginning, it could be noted a negative transference, expressed by crying and aggression towards the mediator. After some time, transference turned into positive, most of the time, at the point of the child call the mediator “dad”. During that period, the boy developed more autonomy and creativity, but also resistance in making efforts. It is important that a mediator understands his relation with the child to help his/her autonomy and not turning him/her into an exclusive object of care.

The clients of justice desire uncorrupted, inexpensive and speedy justice. However, it will be not exaggerated to say that the present criminal justice system in Bangladesh is eroding justice seekers’ confidence. The reason for people’s lack of confidence in criminal justice mechanism is due to its faulty, non-scientific and disoriented state in present context. The criminal justice system of Bangladesh emerged from an ancestry of British legacy that originated in the early 17th Century as traders of the East India Company beginning to this sub-continent. Considering the religion based criminal law as disproportionate from their western democratic view, the Company brought about several reforms through a series of regulations which modified or expanded the definitions of some offences, introduced new offences and altered penalties to make them more logical and reasonable. In a related vein, the Penal Code (PC) defining crime and prescribing appropriate punishments was adopted in 1860, following the painstaking work of the First Law Commission of British India, particularly its Chairman Lord Macaulay. The PC has stood the test of time. As a sequel to the PC, a Code of Criminal Procedure (Cr.P.C.) was enacted in 1898 and established the rules to be followed in all stages of investigation, trial and sentencing. These two Codes, along with parts of the Indian Evidence Act, 1872, form the essence of India's criminal law and subsequently the criminal law of Bangladesh after its independence in 1971. Since the present criminal justice mechanism suffers with numerous flaws and consequently makes the system vitiated, it is the high time to rethink whether the existing principles and philosophy of our criminal justice system are efficacious anymore. The research will attempt to devise some possible alternatives so that justice can be more efficiently served to its seekers.

Co-curricular activities play a bonding role and help students learn important skills to function socially. Participation in co-curricular activities has physical and psychological benefits for students. Sports and games help to ease stress, depression and anxiety. However, cases of indiscipline have led to strikes; boycotts and deviance in secondary schools in Manga Sub-County despite several remedial measures that have been taken by stakeholders in the sub-County. The purpose of the study is to assess the training needs of games teachers on implementation of co-curricular activities in public secondary schools in Manga Sub-County, Kenya. This study was anchored on three theories, the Systems Theory of Leadership, the Theory of the Firm and the Theory of Educational Management. This study adopted mixed methods approach which includes both quantitative and qualitative methods. This study used descriptive survey design. The study targets all the secondary school students, games teachers and principals in Manga Sub- County. The study target population consisted of 32 public secondary schools in Manga Sub-County, 30 principals, 250 games teachers and 8,834 students. This population is involved in the study because it is directly involved in the supervision, management and participation in co-curricular activities in the secondary schools in the sub-county. The target population is therefore 9,114 respondents. This study employed purposive sampling and simple random sampling procedures to select the public secondary schools’ principals, games teachers and students to participate in the study. Purposive sampling was also to be used to sample the principals and deputies. Simple random sampling was to be used to select the teachers and students. Sample size selection was done in accordance with Morgan matrix, a statistical calculation for arriving at the approximate sample size developed by Krejcie [1], model and generated by Morgan using the formula. The sample therefore comprised of 29 schools, 29 principals, 152 teachers and 369 students giving an accessible sample size of 550. In the study, questionnaires, interview guides and document analysis were to be used. The instruments were to be used to supplement each other and to give a deeper and wider exploration into research perspective which would give the research more quality. In this, study data was to be organized, presented, analyzed and interpreted using descriptive statistical techniques. The descriptive statistics that were to be used to summarize data include percentages, frequencies, tables and graphical presentation. The data was analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS version 22.0). The findings of this study may be of great importance to the games teachers to identify co-curricular implementation strategies that had failed and which may have impacted negatively to the performance of the activities. With improved management of schools, Manga Sub- County and Nyamira County may benefit from good academic performance. The findings may enhance quality co-curricular programs that were to provide defensive benefits for health for the entire lifetime, preparation for the physical cores of daily life and options for the use of leisure time.

The Kelao nationality is one of the 55 ethnic minorities in China. As one of the earliest explorers of the Guizhou Plateau, the Kelao people has a long history. In the long process of the existence and procreation, the Kelao people has developed and enriched the history and culture of the Guizhou Plateau together with other peoples, which includes rich cinnabar myth. This paper firstly reviews the history of the birth of Kelao’s cinnabar myth. Then I analyze the evolution and inheritance of Kelao cinnabar myth in modern times. Finally, according to explore the development path for cultural industry related to cinnabar myth, this paper tries to show how the traditional cultural resources and intangible cultural heritage can be integrated into the complete industrial chain of cultural production and consumption.

Migration has become one of the major discussing issues at present world. Recently, this issue has become the most discussing issue in Bangladesh. This study investigated to find out the reasons and impact of migration outflows in Bangladesh. This study has been conducted from June 2020 to January 2021.Using secondary data, this paper attempted to explore the reasons of migration outflows andits impact on the socio-economic development in Bangladesh. Several reports on migration outflows, journals, articles, research papers were the sources of data. 5 returnee migrants were selected for collecting the supporting data through in-depth interview. As the study was qualitative based, the data were analyzed in descriptive and contextual methods. The findings of this study have revealed that there are two kinds of reasons of migration outflows, push factors and pull factors and these migration flows have a great impact on socio-economy of the country. Thus, this study has provided insightful information about the reasons and impact of migration outflows in Bangladesh which might help the future researchers in the field of migration and policy makers of migration.

This work is about the study of the grammatical use of the reflexive Bopp and –self or –selves between English and Wolof. English and Wolof are different languages, from the morpho-syntactic point of view; each language has its own way of forming reflexive pronouns. Then, this analysis reveals both languages do not share the descriptions linguistic of Bopp meaning head and the suffix self or selves, but they have some similar parts in the present study. This subject has been chosen to show the difficulties that learners of each language can encounter with the use of the reflexive Bopp and -self. Therefore, some resources facilitate us to collect data in order to end up with results.

The United States has become a secular Republic after its foundation by religious dissidents called puritans. Despite that shift, America is still struggling to get out of the bondage of the religion into which it has locked itself. Americans’ leaders and citizens do not have the same conception of the separation between religion and politics. America has always mixed religion and politics in a way that is not appreciated by the proponents of absolute separation. Even today, this overlapping exists between church and State. This separation is thus based on a fragile compromise, especially since the competing political parties regularly resort to it for ideological purposes. Many politicians are grappling with the implementation of this balancing game. The cases of President George W. Bush and Barack Obama are very telling examples that should be studied very closely given the political context that was prevailing.

The dilemma of what museums are and what they ought to be in African settings, has continued to sustain scholarly debate for over two decades. Animated by African and western schools of thought, this debate centers three main questions: do African collections actually qualify as museums? Are western-style museums suitable for Africa? Can Africans actually sustain museums on the western model? It is on the sidelines of this debate and attempts to provide responses that hinge concerns of survival for these museums. In Cameroon where the museum institution is fairly young, questions continue to linger as to whether her over thirty collections actually qualify as museums. Ever since the establishment of the nation’s earliest museums in the 1920s, these institutions have indeed survived in precarity owing to a litany of obstacles. In these circumstances, public access has thinned rapidly, outreach and clientele satisfaction have remained elusive and the primary missions of preservation and conservation are shadows of their mission statements. Created after the year 2000, the community museums of Babungo, Oku, Bafut, Mankon, Bandjoun, Batoufam and Baham bear testimony to this. The present paper examines the nature and categorization of Cameroon museums, identifies major threats to their survival, examines reasons for their resilience, and proposes a plan for their sustenance. In this endeavor, four questions beg for answers: what is the typology of Cameroon museums? Why has their survival been precarious? What factors account for their resilience this far? And what can be the way forward? A methodology based on oral tradition, qualitative research and sample surveys, analyzed on the basis of content and chronology provided grounds for our findings. Cameroon’s museums are dominantly historical and ethnographic. They are essentially public, private, missionary and community museums. Their major challenges have centered on natural and human factors. The elaboration and scrupulous respect for collections management policies and the ICOM code of ethics remain crucial for their survival and sustenance.

Women provide the need for a major reassessment of the labour relations in the sugar industry which results in positive attempts to maximize on their labour in western Kenya. The sugar industry sought to encourage women particularly in Kakamega, Bungoma and Busia, in order to bolster sugarcane output in the area. With the onset of the private sugar companies in the area, exemplified by Butali, West Kenya and Busibwabo, sugarcane production had to continue to prosper instead of diminishing at the expense of the benefits to the labourers (the women). The Luhya women in the area bore the greatest responsibility of ensuring that sugarcane is not only produced to meet the needs of the “hungry” sugar companies, but equally the returns from sugarcane production was substantial. By 2004, increased women labour in the sugarcane industry of western Kenya had produced Luhya proto-capitalists (exclusively men), who had managed to accumulate the returns from sugarcane production at the expense of the woman labourer. The Luhya proto-capitalists have threatened the sociological equilibrium in western Kenya which saw the women in the area toil in the sugar industry for nil at the expense of communal solidarities. This paper applies the concepts of utility and expropriation to analyze how women were exploitatively utilized in the sugar industry for nil returns. The concepts illustrate how the sugar companies squeezed the labour out of the Luhya women while the Luhya men siphoned the sugarcane returns from the women labour, therefore, letting the women in the western toil for nil in the sugar industry. This paper is founded on paramountcy of primary data, from farmers’ records corroborated by researcher observations, interviews and backed up by secondary data especially library literature for purpose of content and context analysis and grounding.

The Secret Life of Saeed-- the Pessoptimist is a tragic-comic novel written by a well-known Israeli-Arab writer Emile Habibi. Emergence of refugee crisis after the 1947-49 Palestine war, famously known as The Nakba in Arabic, forms the backdrop of the novel. This war was fought between the Arabs and Jews when the United Nations (UN) passed the resolution for the division of Palestine into two states: a Jewish state and an Arab state.  After the creation of Israel, a big number of Palestinians were uprooted from their land. Thus Settlement and uprooting went hand in hand with which multifaceted problems emerged: identity crisis, alienation and non-belongingness. Fictional works of Habibi are popular for dealing with the problems and issues of those Arabs who were allowed to live in their homeland Palestine turned into a Jewish state - Israel. A big number of Palestinians was forced to leave Israel while a fewer number continued to stay as ‘internal refugees’ or as ‘present absentees’. Everything related to Arabs, their language, culture, history—their very existence began receding during the whole process of settlement of the Jews and uprooting of the Arabs. They have not been given rights to represent themselves. They are seen rather through the lens of oriental discourse. There is a term “Disopositif” used by the French intellectual Michel Foucault which refers to the various institutional, physical, administrative mechanism and knowledge structures which enhance and maintain the exercise of power within the social body. Knowledge itself is a medium to impose monopoly over the world. The historical truths which went behind the creation of the Israeli state are fabricated and presented as the only truth by the Israelis. The other truths associated with Arabs have been completely relegated into background.

Religion will provide African-American political activists confronted with racial segregation a solid philosophy for the search of a solution. After slavery and the segregation organized by "Jim Crow" laws, it was inevitable that some form of resistance would emerge. The collective spirituality of the Black Church facing repression, helped spawn a civil rights movement that sought to achieve its goals by peaceful means. The movement for civil rights will then takes shape, structure itself and engage in the fight with legendary determination and courage. The Baptist pastor Martin Luther King has asserted himself as the leader of this movement. He relies on the egalitarian message advocated by the Bible and the philosophy of nonviolence to lead this fight under the banner of the SCLC an association of pastors’ activists for civil rights. The Black church demonstrates in that occasion its ability to get together and deal successfully with social issues affecting the Black community.

The American Dream can be defined as a deeply rooted ideology in the American society with the belief that any person living in the United States can become rich through hard work, courage, determination, and divine grace. Though this idea is deeply rooted in the mentality of many Americans, the reality has disappointed a great number of persons. One of the foundations of this ideal is the economic and political liberalism that has characterized the United States for a very long time. Experience has shown that very often, those who pursue this ideal of life with great optimism find themselves in difficult conditions when they arrive in the United States, or are simply disappointed to find their dream shattered. John Steinbeck in The Grapes of Wrath counts the Joad family's odyssey to California as a symbol of the journey to the supposed Promised Land. Opportunities offered by the capitalist system to solve their problems were in reality the other side of the coin.

The branch of library science concerned with the application of mathematical and statistical analysis to bibliography; the statistical analysis of books, articles, or other publications is known bibliometrics. This bibliometric study of SAIJM was based on published online with open access research articles from 1999 t0 2006. This study is to survey the research output of South African journal of information management. This study reveals/scrutinizes the articles published during the period of 1999 to 2006. The parameters have been set to describe this study Country’s wise contributions, author’s collaborations, lengths of papers and individual author’s contribution during the chosen period of the selected online journal. The total number of research papers have been retrieved from the journal database was 252. The most number of articles were published in 2003 with 41. The study findings further revealed 158 authors were individual. Further found that 79 of the articles were page length of 1-5 and most productive region was South Africa with 242. The total number of references was found 2999. The degree of authors collaboration was value of C= 0.37.

The work is devoted to the study of the morphological and syntactic analysis of relative pronouns between English and Wolof and more specifically between wh-and -u constructions. English and Wolof are two languages belonging to different family languages, which means that their ways of forming or using pronouns might be different and can cause difficulties to English native speakers who would like to learn Wolof and vice versa. It points out the scientific description of wh- (in English) and -u (in Wolof) relative pronouns. In addition, it aims at analyzing the relative pronouns in English and Wolof in a contrastive view, especially in how they are formed and used in a sentence. So, some research will be done to collect data and afterwards analyze them in order to end up with results.

Rabindranath Tagore in his dance drama Chitrangada has recreated the anecdote of Chitrangada from Vyas’s epic Mahabharata. The opera happens to be one of finest musical masterpieces of Tagore. However, Tagore has used much liberty in the depiction of Chitrangada which may be justified as poetic freedom. However, in his attempt to preach feminism and portray her as the epitome of empowerment, he has demeaned her at the same time. Vyas’s Chitrangada appears to be a stronger feminist than Tagore’s. While Vyas depicts her as an all-throughout bold, brave, just, empowered and an upright woman, Tagore too paints the same picture, but leads her into a journey from empowerment to temporary disillusionment that debases her original self. This does more harm than good to her image. However, in the end Tagore elevates not only her, but all women by preaching gender-equality and self-awakening through Chitrangada’s self-realization in the form of the song “Ami Chitrangada” (I am Chitrangada). Despite all the mortification, Tagore’s glorification of Chitrangada using the single song stands out in the drama and becomes the hallmark of feminism in Bengali literature.

Many literatures in cultural and border studies confirm the importance of tourism in borderland areas. They have tried to focus on how borders themselves and border-related environments can act as significant tourist attractions.  The tourist sites can be significant spaces for cross border co-operation as well as sites of contestation. Using various conceptual understandings, this paper will try to highlight the India- Myanmar borderland as a site of immense tourism potential. For tourism to prosper, one also needs to explore the cultural and social spaces of borderland communities within the limits created by political boundaries. With the theoretical foundations borrowed from various inter-disciplinary approaches, the paper will look into the state of Arunachal Pradesh and how it’s co-existence with the international border of Myanmar, makes it a potential site for tourism.

If we think of a common word between the two countries, i.e., Mexico and India, we immediately think of the word, “los indios” meaning "Indians” literally in English however it is used to describe the native Indians in South American countries. If one happens to be an Indian, one cannot help but think that the word is referring to Indians from India. India and Mexico have striking similarities in geo-climatic conditions, biodiversity, physiognomy along with people, cultural and family values, as well as European connections of the colonial era. The history of variations in the meanings and connotations of a word can provide us with information about the evolution of the attitude of a linguistic community to a reality that it interprets.  The word "Indian" gives rises to a lot of questions in our minds, perhaps everyone has a "connected" history. This paper looks into some of the cultural and historical similarities of the two countries through a comparative analysis of the Mayas and Aztecs of Mexico with the Indus and Aryan civilizations of India. We use qualitative method of research and have used the theories of Enrique Dussel and his work The invention of the Americas, along with Octavio Paz’s Glimpses of India are used as reference point. The findings show that there could be a possibility of a shared DNA between the two countries during the neanderthal time of the human evolution, where Indians moved to Mexico to escape from bad weather.

The Indo-Soviet relationship has been challenged due to the growing links of India with the US at present. But the recent termination of US preferential trade status for India by the Trump administration in June 2019 has brought a new element to their bilateral relationship. In 2014 major changes took place in both India and Russia. In India a new prime minister and also a new right wing government led by Prime Minister Modi came to power. In Russia also despite the Putin rule for quite some time, 2014 was a turning point because that in the year the Russian military fought in Ukraine and in 2014 the US emerged as a top arms supplier to India. Besides these Indo-Soviet relationships have many positives and treated as all-weather friends and they have been considered as a model of international co-operation. However, this paper will analyze the different strategic and economic relations between these two countries.
