Information Preservation Policy

Himalayan Publisher is committed to the long-term preservation, accessibility, and integrity of the scholarly record. All published articles are preserved using recognized digital preservation practices to ensure that research remains permanently accessible, discoverable, and citable.

This Preservation Policy applies uniformly to all journals published by Himalayan Publisher.

Digital Object Identifier (DOI)

Each published article is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI), providing a permanent and persistent link to the article. The DOI ensures reliable citation, long-term accessibility, and ease of discovery, even if the article's web location changes.

Digital Formats

Final published articles are preserved in widely accepted digital formats, including:

  • PDF (Portable Document Format)
  • XML (where applicable for indexing and archiving)
  • HTML (where available)

These formats support long-term accessibility, interoperability, and compatibility with indexing and abstracting services.

Digital Archiving

Published content is securely archived in trusted digital repositories and preservation systems to ensure permanent availability and protection against accidental loss, technical failures, or system disruptions.

Internet Archive Preservation

Where applicable, published journal content and website resources may also be preserved through the Internet Archive (Archive.org) to support long-term public access and digital preservation.

Backup and Security

Himalayan Publisher maintains secure server infrastructure with regular backups and appropriate security measures to protect published content against unauthorized access, data corruption, or loss.

Accessibility and Availability

The publisher is committed to maintaining continuous online access to published articles. In the event of technical issues or platform migration, archived copies will be used to restore access and preserve the scholarly record.

Policy Review

The publisher periodically reviews its preservation strategy and digital archiving practices to ensure compliance with evolving international standards and best practices in scholarly publishing.

Policy Applicability

This Preservation Policy is the official policy of Himalayan Publisher and applies uniformly to all journals published under the publisher, ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and integrity of all published scholarly content.
